Three months in Egypt
Perhaps more than the pyramids, this view of the mosque towers surrounds you everywhere you go. If you're not sure where the nearest mosque tower is, you don't have to wait too long as the Islamic prayers will be heard from loud speakers that are often mounted on top of these towers. This particular view is from a park that is situated on the top of a hill in Cairo.
This picture of a pyramid is taken from half way up one of the other pyramids. This illegal picture was taken by Cody. Thanks for the awesome pic mate.
We were able to visit the pyramids a couple of times during our three month stay in Cairo. This was the first time when we had to quickly get off our camel and run to the pyramids for pictures. We found out later that our tour may not have been totally legitimate as we saw them often passing cash to the pyramid security. Entering the pyramids through a hole in the fence that sounds the pyramids was kinda fishy too.Above is a video I took of one church we went to. It's amazing to see how on fire for God all the people are here, including the children. There zeal for God is so evident just from their worshipping.
I couldn't help but put this picture in. This was actually taken before we left for Egypt. My beard grew for another three months after this, the entire time we were in Egypt.
This one one of my most cherished times. The Egyptian people are so incredibly hospitable, even when they may not have a lot to give, they would give us amazing meals. It is quite common to have guests around to eat food together and the only place that was often big enough for us all to eat together was on the floor of one of the rooms. This was the first of many of the feasts that we went to. Thanks so much to all our Egyptian friends. To find out more about all that we did in Cairo egypt check out Daylene's blog which you can find under our friends links.
Some of our girls would often go down and work in this preschool with the kids. They were able to teach them Bible stories in english, and just show Gods love to them. All the kids loved to be around the our girls, and we even got to go on a couple of outings with them.

The second Church we worked at was in Imbaba, and was an Assemblies of God church. You can see here how Sally is teaching hundreds of children about Jesus, some of which are muslims. We have seen some amazing things happen in this chruch. Thanks to our friend Said for taking us in and getting invloved in our
ministry.

Here we are doing a drama about Jesus' sacriface for all mankind. Drama is a great way to reach people as the language barrier is overcome. Some men and ladies from this church were crying as we were demonstrating Jesus' death and resurrection. It's easy to see that the death and resurrection of Christ is more than just a story to our brothers and sisters here at this church.

I couldn't help but put this photo in. This is one of the other teams from YWAM perth that was in Cario the same time we were. I think they may have had the best region to have a view and pray over the entire city of Cairo.
